How I got into Coding..
Back in the 90s, technology had great limitations compared to today, but I still found myself glued to the family computer in the living room every day after school. I played games, explored the internet and lost track of time more times than I can count. Despite my brother being a Frontend Developer and my mother building websites and attending IT-classes for fun, I had zero interest in technology.
Don't get me wrong, I loved technology when it worked as expected, but if not, I would sign out and let someone else deal with whatever issue was hiding behind the screen.. And I always made it clear to people that this was the case.
I gave the same speech to my partner and his family when they told me that I should look into coding, but they insisted. "You are super organized and it would suit you better than you might think!" After a lot of encouragement I decided to give it a try and signed up for a beginners course in Java. What I learned about myself from taking that course is that I am way more stubborn than I give myself credit for, and the euphoria and satisfaction I get from solving technological issues makes me feel invincible!
Since then I have taken 2 courses in Java, attended SheCodes Basics, SheCodes Plus and SheCodes Responsive, learning more about frontend coding and it's possibilites.
